A Day in the Life of an American Millionaire in Dubai (Work Day Edition)

A colleague suggested I write about what I do in a day.

So let’s go with everything that happened on Monday, June 30, 2025, which is a day I stack with meetings so I have the rest of the week free to write blog posts, create video content, play Padel and anything else I feel like doing.

6:00 AM:  I wake up from the Apple Watch that goes off near my bed.  I prefer the watch as an alarm than the iPhone because I can’t get lost in Safari, YouTube, or any social media apps.  I feel rested because I went to bed early the night before, and my Whoop said I fell asleep at 9:55pm.  This is amazing because I got almost 7.5 hours of quality sleep.

6:20 AM:  I’m dressed in my workout gear, hat, sunglasses and have a bottle of water in a metal container.  I put sunscreen on my face and head out the door for my beach-side walk in JBR in Dubai.  Thankfully, it’s not super hot (yet!) and I enjoy the walk toward the cafes and restaurants.

I see a new stray cat I haven’t seen before.  When you go on daily morning walks, you notice the small changes.

I’m listening to a business podcast and logging steps.

6:40 AM I order an iced Americano from Arabica with two small waters.  I walk ahead after ordering so I won’t lose my momentum, then reach my halfway point and head back.  I pick up the iced coffee, drink more water, and am proud that I’ve logged 5,000 steps.

7:15 AM  I meet in my apartment’s gym with my trainer, Mo.  It’s our “Core + Arms Day” which means a bunch of abs and arms exercises.  It’s exhausting but kinda fun.  We chat, and I catch up on what happened over my birthday weekend.

8:15 AM  I head upstairs and eat breakfast, but it’s just yesterday’s lunch that I didn’t get around to eating.  I’m in diet mode so it’s skinless, boneless chicken breast with a bit of cheese and wrapped in a tortilla.  I serve it with some homemade guacamole to add some healthy fat and flavor.

9:15 AM  I meet with my Executive Assistant and head to the hotel cafe for our weekly “Win Win With Eric Consulting” meeting.

I usually meet in my office, but since I have a day full of meetings, I enjoy the new location and I order an espresso macchiato.

In 90 minutes, we review wins, the scorecard, customer and employee headlines from last week and solve a bunch of issues.  We need a new video editor and brainstorm a plan to get one that she is in charge of finding.  We also review the new plan to release 2 blog posts and 2 long-form videos a week, which will take more effort on my part but help with branding and client acquisition.

10:45 AM  In my apartment, I prepare myself for the day with a quick shower and change of clothes.  I’ll be on Zoom all day so I wear a light blue dress shirt…and exercise shorts below.  Business on top with comfort and mobility on the bottom.  Plus I’ll be walking on my treadmill during some of my meetings, so I need the shorts.  🙂

11:00 AM  My assistant and I have our 90-minute “Executive Assistant” Meeting.

Each week, we have two foundational meetings: one for my consulting company and one for my personal life.  We keep them separate and very focused.

We pay some bills and make plans for my upcoming summer trip to Russia, France, Cuba, Mexico and Los Angeles.  We look at some upcoming appointments and fix a few small things.  We check in with key staff members like my maid and driver.  I update the petty cash.

12:30 PM  I meet for 75 minutes for a business coaching session.  We review last week’s scorecard and make a few adjustments.

Most of the meeting is spent setting up next quarter’s rocks and key activities so my mentee can hit the goals we set.

1:30 PM I’ve got a 30-minute Zoom call with my advisor from Strategic Coach.  We make a gameplan on how I will upgrade from the Signature program to the 10x program, which is for entrepreneurs with larger businesses, like my own.

The challenge for me is how the quarterly workshop meetings are located in 4 places: London, Toronto, Los Angeles and Chicago.

The new year for me would start in January, and I don’t want to go to ANY of those places because the distance is far and the weather is so good in Dubai.

We made a great plan:  I’ll attend the January meeting remotely, then go to London in April, Toronto in July and London in September.  I’ll be in good weather for each workshop.  Plus, I’ve never been to Toronto so it’ll be fun to explore a new city and country.

2:00 PM  Quick lunch break that my maid prepares:  lean beef with rice and boiled broccoli and carrot.  It’s high-protein with low(ish) carbs and fat.  I add some fresh lemon and grated Parmigiano-Reggiano to add a bit of flavor.  It’s not exciting, but it works

3:00 PM  I have two back-to-back Zoom interviews for EO Accelerator of Dubai, which is an entrepreneur program that I volunteer for.  I served for a year as the Membership chair and I chat with the new candidates and ask them about their business, their challenges and why they want to join EOA. I like both of them and pass them on for second interviews.

4:00 PM  I have a nice 1-hour break before my big meeting of the day.  I have a quick dinner because I don’t want to eat heavy before bed.  It’s the same thing as breakfast:  chicken wrap with low-fat cheese and guacamole.

On my phone, I play a few rounds of my favorite app: Catan.  It’s a board game and I can play against real people on the app.  It’s fun and distracting.  I win one round and lose another.

5:00 PM  The LIFT Enrichment 3-hour quarterly meeting begins!  I’m with the leadership team and we start by sharing 2 Business Wins and 2 Business “Lessons.”  We used to call them Business “Mistakes” but instead call them “Lessons” because each provides a chance to learn and grow.  We also share 2 Personal Wins and 2 Personal Lessons from the past 90 days.  It helps us get to know each other better and provide some unique insights.

The quarter was fantastic because we hit a new goal and are exactly on pace to end the year with the highest revenue year of all time.  We had no major issues, and I thanked the team for the job they did.  The numbers were great, and there weren’t any big problems to solve (that got to me).

Next, we review last quarter’s “rocks.”  A “quarterly rock” is a 90-day project.  Each team member has 1-2 rocks and they are the most important to-do projects of the quarter.  83% of the team achieved their goals and we’re waiting to see if we can get the last one done by the end of day.  I’m proud of them for staying focused.

The biggest win, for me, was the expansion to New York.  We booked 6-figures in new business and should hit $1 million in the next year with new clients.  It’s the first big expansion outside of our California schools we work with.

At one point, I tell them that they can buy a stand-up desk and the company will pay for it, which they are excited about.  I walk for about 1 hour during the meeting on my treadmill.

Toward the end, after we set the new quarterly rocks, I have each of them break down their rock into 5-7 to-do items.  I go through everyone’s to-dos and end the meeting at 8:15 pm.  It went a “little” overtime, but it was productive, and everyone is happy with the new focus.

8:15 PM  I have a quick check-in call with my girlfriend, and we chat about life and the previous weekend.  We have a trip coming up and we go over some details about our visit to Russia.  I booked us a cooking class in Moscow and a ballet “Romeo and Juliet” to see in St Petersburg at the famous opera house.  We chat about some relationship techniques we’d like to try out.  She’s into psychology, and I like that she’s always on the lookout for ways to help us better communicate.

8:45 PM  I go for the final walk of the evening into JBR.  The sun is down, but it’s still humid.  I end up having a relatively healthy “Healthy Pop” made up of frozen mango and strawberries.  It’s a sweet treat.  I catch up with a friend on the walk and it’s fun, with time going by quickly.    I check, and I know I’ve walked well over 15,000 steps, which is a key element for me to lose weight

10:00 PM  I settle down at home and prepare for bed.  I take a shower, clean up, brush my teeth and in bed I write down the 3 highlights of the day and 3-5 key items to get done tomorrow.  I fall asleep, blissfully.

I hope you enjoyed this “day in the life” on a busy Monday.  I can write more on what it’s like on other days, or on a weekend.

Want to scale your business from 7 to 8 figures, just like I’ve done?  I run an 8-figure service company with a staff of 300 people that teaches 18,000 kids a week how to cook healthy foods…and it only takes me 8-hours a month.  I help businesses with 1-on-1 consulting, including aesthetic clinics and recruitment companies, among others.  Here’s the link to hop on a consultation call to see how I can help you grow
